Linda's second adoption success story, in her own words:
I was volunteering at the SPCA when I saw him. They had named him Kiwi. A pathetic looking creature. A (member of the) staff came up to me and said, "The people who wanted him changed their mind...do you want him?"
I took him home. He was a mess. He was very plucked, very stressed, very anxious, and nervous. He kept rocking his body back and forth, and he kept rolling his tongue all around his mouth.
All I knew about him was that the SPCA picked him up from an abandoned apartment, he had cockroaches in his cage, black water, and fruit loops. He had been living with dogs and cats.
We gave him a new name, a calm home, love, kindness, a good diet, and lots of attention and he is flourishing. He does not like me, but he loves my husband.
