Dog Band was intended to be a graphic novel, but honestly, I'm having trouble getting it started. So, I've decided to self-publish it as a picture storybook first and then go from there. Starting today, I will be writing a manuscript and storyboarding a 24 page (22 pages of artwork) picture storybook for children and attempting the illustrations myself. With any luck, I'll have something to show for it in a year or two. Alfie, Raxl, Tubson and Ollie have formed a rock band. And they're dogs. Now they need to decide what sort of music to play, so they get advice from other dogs, cats, lizards, bunnies, etc. Everyone's got a favourite music style, but what should Dog Band play?
The characters are all based on dogs, cats, and other pets that I know and/or have worked with in the pet industry. Maybe you'll even recognize one (or more) of them! |
