Another exciting announcement! Kevin Risk (my husband) and I are currently working together on Tamara Turtle's Life So Far, and after it's all finished, we'll be doing it all again, this time with Mixter Twizzle's Breakfast! Once again, Kevin will lend his whimsical illustrations to another storybook with animal (and imp!) characters...check out this sample artwork and get ready for the wild-ride that is Mixter Twizzle! Mirror World Publishing in Windsor Ontario will be publishing Mixter Twizzle's Breakfast!
A wee bit about Mixter from MIXTER TWIZZLE'S BREAKFAST: Mixter Twizzle is an odd, red, round-shaped, mischievous creature. He lives in a hovel, beneath a rustic barn, underneath the chicken coop. He’s a snoozing sneezer and a snoring barker; a peculiar sort that both annoys and pleases. Check out this lovely introductory post from Mirror World Publishing.

From the Literary Classics Press Release for Sloth the Lazy Dragon:
For Immediate Release Children's Literary Classics [email protected] Children's Literary Classics is pleased to announce that the children's picture book, Sloth the Lazy Dragon written by Regan W.H. Macaulay and illustrated by Alex Zgud, has been selected to receive the Children's Literary Classics Seal of Approval. The CLC Seal of Approval is a designation reserved for those books which uphold the rigorous criteria set forth by the Children's Literary Classics review committee, a team comprised of individuals with backgrounds in publishing, editing, writing, illustration and graphic design. All the dwarfs in Radish's village are afraid of the dragon which dwells in a cave nearby. One day Radish enters the dragon's lair in hopes of persuading him to leave. But, as it turns out, the dragon is unable to leave his cave because he has become too fat. Sloth, the lazy dragon, can't even get out of the cave, let alone fly. Radish offers to help Sloth regain his health, and the dragon humbly accepts his offer. For several years, Radish brings the dragon loads of healthy foods and helps him to exercise. Regan W.H. Macaulay's Sloth the Lazy Dragon is a wonderfully imaginative book which teaches young readers about conquering fear, setting goals, and above all, making healthy choices. Expressive illustrations by Alex Zgud are an excellent addition to this book which is recommended for home and school libraries. Children’s Literary Classics, an organization dedicated to furthering excellence in children’s literature, takes great pride in its role to help promote classic children's literature which appeals to youth while educating and encouraging positive values in the impressionable young minds of future generations.
