This is quite a moment for me…never did I think, 25 years ago, that we would reach this point after producing so many plays as well as short films, sketches, a feature film and publishing scripts. Right now, I’m more focused on the published scripts produced in recent years (including plays previously produced and one yet to be produced: The Aquarium, The Paradise Lust Romance Series, It Was Kit and Shakespeare’s Brain, Crime and Etiquette and Horror at Terror Creek; and film scripts produced and yet to be produced: Space Zombies: 13 Months of Brain-Spinning Mayhem! and They Suck) and the novellas and novelette that spawned from those scripts (“The Trilogy of Horrifically Half-baked Ham”: Space Zombies!, They Suck and Horror at Terror Creek), as well as my picture books and up-coming novels…but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a play or possibly even a film in Triple Take’s future! Stay tuned…we’re not done with theatre, film and television yet, nor have we released every script to be published…
Of course, I have accumulated many, many memories over the past 25 years. I thought I’d share at least one per “production”…starting from the most recent and wrapping up with our very first production in 1993.
Mirror World Publishing has published my flash fiction story, ENVY, today on their blog! Check it out right HERE.

I've completed a lesson plan for elementary students in Grades 1&2 and 3&4 for Tamara Turtle's Life So Far. It's called "Rescuing Red-Eared Sliders" and it's ready for presentation this 2018/2019 school year! Here's the scoop: The lesson plan/presentation for RESCUING RED-EARED SLIDERS - Tamara Turtle’s Life So Far includes: Discussion of specific pages in the picture book, trivia questions and discussion on basic facts about Red-eared Slider turtles, turtles you might find in pet stores, the eight turtle species located in Ontario, Red-eared Slider distribution, how to care for Red-eared Sliders and other pet turtles, including expenses, foods, equipment and accessories, reptile and “special species” shelters and rescues, what to do/not do if you can no longer keep your pet turtle, why some people may choose to give up their pet turtle (generally due to previously discussed expenses, including equipment and housing, food, vet bills, etc.) and why you must never release a pet turtle into the wild. Many activity sheets (and answer sheets) are available in the package (word searches, crosswords, colouring pages, research assignments and many more), and an assessment rubric, vocabulary page and curriculum guidelines the lesson plan fulfills are all there for the teachers.
Together, we can create a unique and multifaceted learning experience for your students!
This $500 Package includes: Class visit with reading, post reading discussion and trivia, q&a and introduction to “poster”, “diorama”, “research” or “list” related activities (as determined on a case by case basis). Students will have 2 days - 2 weeks (as determined by teacher/class schedule) to work on their assignments and I will return for a second class visit to see presentations by the students and their work. New activities can also be done during my second visit. Book forms and take aways will be left for students to take home and a set of up to 15 books are included for the class and library. Lesson plans will be loaned out for the duration of the session and if teachers wish to sign up for a visit next year get to keep the lesson plan binders. 1 hour + per visit. Tamara Turtle’s Life So Far: Tamara the Red-eared Slider turtle is having a rough start in life. Her new owner loses interest in her, and she is released into a nearby creek, where she does not belong. Luckily, a Good Samaritan takes her to a local animal shelter that cares for "special species" like Tamara. There, she learns about the plight of rescue turtles just like her.ckens! I am also able to answer questions the students may have regarding the book itself, and writing and publishing.
Please note that a “class” is considered to be no more than 30 students. A minor price adjustment based on number of students/activity copies and books will be made if a class has more than 30 students, or if you wish to combine classes. Teachers will be given the appropriate number of activity sheets to cover all the students in the class. Any loaned out lesson plans or books that have been damaged will need to be purchased for $25 per binder and $12.99 per book. I will be able to provide a brief contract for any school visit tier purchased. From Mirror World Publishing:
"...Unreachable Skies will be the first in a planned trilogy about Zarda, an apprentice Fate-seer on a planet where it is normal to fly. In this first novel, Zarda finds she is ill-equipped to deal with the consequences of a plague that has resulted in wingless hatchlings. Efforts to fight prejudice and superstition lead to death for some and exile for others; while Zarda’s own journey to understanding her role in events may lead her to abandon all tradition in order to protect her peoples’ future.
