Day 3 of the 12 Adoptable Pets of the Holiday Season...Holly is available through Little RES Q!12/15/2024 Little RES Q is Ontario's first registered charity reptile rescue specializing in one of the world's most misunderstood animals, the Red-eared Slider. Starting life as a coin sized pet, sliders often grow up to a foot in length and require aquariums larger than most people assume, and many of these creatures find their way into local streams and rivers. As a small privately-run shelter that does not receive any formal government assistance, we rely solely on donations from the public to continue our mission to provide a temporary shelter for pet turtles, lizards and snakes that are looking for their forever homes. https://littleresq.net/ Visit the Little RES Q site to adopt Holly!

https://annexcatrescue.ca/ Meet Little Lily! This sweet, tiny girl has a big heart and an incredible story. She spent her early years on the streets, not only looking out for herself but also raising a litter of kittens. Despite the tough start, she's proven to be a resilient and loving mama. When Lily was rescued, she needed urgent medical care, and after two surgeries, it was discovered she has irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Luckily, with the right diet, she's now happy, healthy, and full of life! Lily adores her treats and will happily purr, knead like she's making biscuits, and rub against your hand for more. She likes pets too! Lily is currently in a foster home with other cats, but she would thrive in a quiet space with a patient, experienced cat lover who can give her the time and attention she deserves. After all she's been through, Lily is ready to receive the love and care she missed out on for so long. She would blossom as a solo cat in the home, but with the right introduction she could do well with a calm, laid-back buddy cat. Are you the special person who can give Little Lily her forever home? She's waiting to meet you! Lily has inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which has previously resulted in a prolapsed anus that needed to be corrected surgically through a procedure called a colopexy. In order to manage Lily's IBD and prevent future issues, she needs to be on a prescription hypoallergenic diet. Lily may also have mild asthma, which is managed with a steroid medication given every other day, which is easily placed in her food.. She is negative for FIV and feline leukemia. Like all ACR cats, Lily has been treated for fleas and parasites. Check out a video of Lily getting pets and treats while making biscuits: https://vimeo.com/1002244846?share=copy Lily's adoption fee is covered by a generous donation from Mowgli in celebration of finding his forever home!
