We had yet ANOTHER terrific group of kids to read Beverlee Beaz the Brown Burmese today at our second and final FringeKids! date. This was the second presentation of the book before a crowd...here are some more of the first people to see and hear the book... We even had time for an encore, with Scott McCord once again reading Beverlee to kids and parents. Scott is a voice artist, and you or your kids may have heard his voice work as Brain and Slickstein in the current Inspector Gadget, Yang and Yuck in Yin Yang Yo, Skull Boy in Ruby Gloom, Stinky in Miss Spider's Sunny Patch Friends, and Owen and Trent in Total Drama Island. Up next, the official book launch in September! Check back for updated info on the date, time and location of the book launch soon. If you missed the Fringe readings, or if you want to hear and see Scott read the book again, be sure to drop by the launch in time for another reading of the book.
Alex (Beverlee's illustrator) and I will also be at Word on the Street at HarbourFront in Toronto September 27th from 11am-6pm in the Indoor KidStreet venue. Come by and visit our booth! We'll be selling and signing copies of the book and you can order a t-shirt, too. You can also grab a free bookmark, with mini reviews by young children printed on the back. One of our young reviewers, Maya, came to the second reading today sporting a Beverlee face painting!
